One of my favorite comfort shows. I'm a camper and seeing them out in nature scratches the itch. I love their friendships. Both one on one and in a group.
Its a great low stakes anime that still takes time to show the day to day inconveniences and problems that come along with travel and life.
Would love anything from a new camping adventure. To life when they are older and stakes are a little higher. Or a day at room camp, dealing with school stuff.
F1 (Movie 2025)
TagsSo yeah this movie took me by all the tropey soft spots and shook. It's been years since I had a car movie that hit like this. I went into it with minimal hopes since we have had so many car movies as a vehicle for a spy thriller lately.
Sonny as the unchanging traveler. Asshole but working to stay on the right side of the line where he's not doing intentional harm.
Ruben as one of the oldest friends who's survived the years long periods of Sonny's breakdowns and comebacks. Needing a return favor but also offering another comeback. Protective but also an undercurrent of his own issues leaving the sport and past rivalry with Sonny.
Just give me an hour of them in random hole in the wall eateries. The cynic and the optimist. With some Cinderella stuff thrown in. And various intersections with ApexGP who are still a large part of Rubens life even if Sonny is trying to move on.
Kate! She's soooo pretty and her accent and how well she knows herself. And deserves all the pretty people she wants. Sonny as her cocky bad idea. But also kinda freeing that's he is enough of a selfcontained ass that he wouldn't expect her to change for him. Or do something she didn't want like her ex did.
Bernadette Pearce absolutely stole the show. No nonsense able to keep all the mem folk in line. Her sweet relationship with Ruben. Would love anything precanon. What does it look like raising a racer when you already lost a husband in the sport?

Charlie! OMG season 2 so excite. Her relationship is Nat in ep 1 is so sweet. I love how much they caretake for each other. Charlie all bold and brash and ready to kick teeth and Nat with actual long term consequences and an understanding of what their place in the world is.
I'd love to see Nat survive and them run off together to be codetectives and life partners in whatever level of platonic or sexiness that you prefer.
Or precanon, how Charlie ran from her life in Atlantic City and ended up in Vegas. What is it like to lose relationship with one family on one coast and end up trying to build your own life and found family on the other. Against a backdrop of two similar cultural cities.

Never understand why this didn't make a bigger splash like most of Shin'ichirô Watanabe's other series. The music, the pacing, the signature anti-hero with boundaries characters he's known for.
Would love a post canon fixit where Twelve and Nine survive. Healing up, learning to move on, etc as indicated in my likes.
