All her classmates decided that she had unusual( and perhaps insane) tastes in love interests and while she understands their point-of-view he’s hard-pressed not to be insulted. Not on her own behalf of course but on behalf of her love.

Just because her love is a bit narcissistic, oblivious, and scatter brained that doesn’t mean he didn’t have feelings. How would they like it if somebody called them liars and plagiarizers? Not that that was exactly how they worded their remarks.

Anyway it wan’t like what they thought mattered. She’d soon be Mrs. Gilderoy Lockhart no matter what they said.
