Neville stares out across the ocean that separates him from England. It’s the fiftieth anniversary of the final battle today. Perhaps on that faraway island people are celebrating the Light’s victory in a long ago war or perhaps they didn’t recall the sacrifices made to protect their world.

It wouldn’t surprise him. After all, within fifty years they’d forgotten all but the vaguest details of the war with Grindewald. He should be more upset by the fact that his sacrifices will become no more that footnotes in the wizarding world’s history, but he’s long since made peace with that reality.
