Day 16. Emerald Green: Best Day in the Life

Draco stands in his finest emerald green robes and waits. This is to be a great day, the best in his life. He has been waiting for this day since his sixteenth birthday, the day he reached his inheritance.  When the scent first reached him, he’d been tempted to abandon his mission, to turn his back on Voldermort. A temptation he’d resisted.

 He should probably regret that, but he can’t bring himself to. He is about to marry his mate, he wouldn’t risk changing that for anything. Not even a chance to remove the taint of murder from his soul.
