Draco was bored with the Slytherins, it was always Voldemort this or the Dark Lord that. So he’d taken to wandering the school alone. Which was how he’d found his latest obsession, Longbottom.

The first time Draco saw Neville caring for a Devil’s snare had been a revelation. He had thought of Longbottom as an idiot savant with a thing for Herbology but there was obviously something more to him if Professor Sprout was willing to trust him to take care of her deadly plants. He hated mysteries and it appeared that Longbottom was one of the Hogwarts’ biggest mysteries.
