She is branded with a snake, a mark of ownership given to her by a self-styled Lord. She is a princess forced into servitude, a Lady made to serve a mad king, and she can’t bring herself to care. He’d freed her from her existence as a pure-blood brood mare, made her a force to be feared.

No one dare stand against her, her Lord’s lady of madness, his iron maiden. Her husband, her family, are all beneath her now. When all others failed him, she would not. She had found her place, branded as an extension of his will.
